How Can Private Training Services Help You?

Private Training:
Customized training for you and your four legged friend! All of my lessons are based on positive reinforcement training methods that make learning fun and effective for the whole family. Sessions are approximately 1 hour and include us (me, your family, and your dog) working together as a team. You will be given helpful hints and demonstrations to take the guess work out of training.
Private training requires an initial orientation for 2-legged clients only. This session gives a brief overview of animal learning theory (how your dog learns) and allows me to gather information needed to build a customized training program for your family.

New Puppy ABC’s:
Once you have found the four-legged family member that is right for you the FUN & WORK begins. Like toddlers your puppy will go through specific developmental periods that are crucial to determining what type of adult dog you will have. I can help you to get started down the right path so that you will have a wonderful relationship for time to come! We will spend 90 minutes to 2 hours going over socialization, basic nutritional needs, potty training, basic manners, body handling, and problem prevention information. It will be like having that ‘Quick Reference Guide’ that your puppy did not come with! Remember all of the legwork that you put in during your puppy’s developmental period will pay off for a long time to come!

New Adult Dog ABC’s:
Congratulations on making a home for one of our society’s many homeless pets! Whether adopting from a family that could no longer keep the pet or going to one of the many wonderful shelters, you have truly saved a life. Did you know that the top 5 reasons for relinquishment of a pet are; 1) Allergies, 2) Life Changes, 3) Housebreaking Issues, 4) Behavior Problems (jumping, chewing, barking, etc), and 5) Not Enough Time For Animal. The GOOD NEWS…most behavioral issues are manageable with training, mental stimulation, and exercise!! I can help you get on the right track with your new adopted family member. We will spend 90 minutes to 2 hours going over the history of your adopted pet, what behaviors you are seeing that you like and which behaviors you would like to modify, basic nutritional information, and any other questions that you might have about integrating your dog into his new environment. I will design exercises tailored specifically to your environment and lifestyle in hopes to create a lasting bond!

Continued Education for All Ages:
Basic Manners! Have you been to puppy class, basic training, etc. and just need some extra one on one help?! This program is designed to have an initial 60-90 minute consultation to determine what areas we need to focus on in order to create the lovely four-legged family member that you are hoping for. The most popular issues clients seek out additional help for; 1) Greeting Manners, 2) Loose Leash Walking, 3) Recall, 4) Counter Surfing, 5) Barking, 6) Humping, and 7) In-Home Destruction. I can help you to work through some or all of these issues to create a fun and peaceful environment for you and your four-legged family member!

Let me help you get it right the first time!
There is so much to consider when taking on this long term commitment and I can help you work through the process of determining the right dog for you. We will spend 90 minutes to 2 hours going over the many considerations in hopes that you will find a forever family member. Whether you decide to go through a breeder or save a life through adopting from a shelter, I can help you through this process!
